The Evolution of TJ Wies, Part 2

Hello again. In part 1 of The Evolution of TJ Wies I discussed the ever-changing industry and the need for adaptation leading to evolution. Also, I announced the additions of Chris Sauer and Cameron Wies to our team. We have had yet more changes and promotions in our organization, by way of creation of the TJ Wies Leadership Team.

Jeff Dreisewerd has been promoted to the new position of Director of Operations. Jeff has over 35 years of experience in the wall and ceiling industry; he quickly progressed from a carpenter apprentice to journeyman status to jobsite foreman, and shortly thereafter was promoted to Field Superintendent/Field Operations Manager, a position which he held for over twelve years. In 2007, Jeff joined the TJ Wies family as a Project Manager. In his new position as Director of Operations, Jeff is responsible for the day-to-day operations of TJ Wies Contracting; all project managers report directly to him. Jeff has been married to his wife Kim for 31 years and has two adult daughters, Dana and Kristy, and two grandsons. If we allow him free time, he enjoys spending time at his place at Bull Shoals Lake.

Chris (Radar) Eberlin is now TJ Wies’ Director of Construction. Chris has nearly 25 years of experience in the construction industry. Chris became part of the TJ Wies family in 1999 starting as a jobsite laborer, and progressed to Field Superintendent and then Warehouse/Equipment Manager. In this newly created position, Chris is responsible for all Safety aspects of TJ Wies, including leadership of the TJ Wies Safety Committee, as well as fleet and equipment purchasing, maintenance, and placement. Relative to Safety processes and procedures, all TJ Wies employees report directly to Chris. Chris has been married to his wife Lori for 20 years and has two teenage boys, Luke and Ben. When we allow him some free time, he enjoys duck hunting and shooting with his sons.

Adam Stevener has moved into the new position of Director of Preconstruction. Adam started with TJ Wies as an intern the summer of 2004 while attending Mizzou, and transitioned to a full-time estimator that fall, while earning his BS in Business Administration from Lindenwood during the evenings. As Director of Preconstruction, Adam is responsible for all aspects of preconstruction, including budgeting, estimating, and sales. All estimators and business development personnel report directly to him. Adam has been married to his wife Megan for six years and has three young daughters: Autumn (4), Raegan (2), and June (3 months). With his job responsibilities and three young daughters, Adam does not have any free time.

Becky Raike has been promoted to Director of Accounting. Becky has over 20 years of experience in the wall and ceiling industry. She joined the TJ Wies family within the first six months of our existence. Becky has been responsible for all aspects of the accounting side of TJ Wies since she started, having previously held the titles of Office Manager and Controller. In this new position Becky will continue to have full responsibility of all accounting, job cost, A/R, and A/P aspects of the company as well as office management. All office staff report directly to Becky. Becky has been married to her husband Stu for 32 years, and enjoys camping and boating at their place at Kentucky Lake in her spare time.

Jeff, Chris, Adam, Becky and I comprise the newly formed TJ Wies Leadership team. We meet as a team bi-monthly to ensure that TJ Wies is providing our customers with the top-tier service that they expect and deserve.

As always, work safe, work hard, and have fun!
