Robotics is Coming To NCCS
We are happy to announce we are introducing a robotics program at NCCS this fall. Alan Blize, our physical science teacher, will be our faculty sponsor for the program. We are seeking volunteers to assist in sponsoring and mentoring our student participants. We will launch our program as an after-school robotics club for students in grades 7-12 beginning in September. We hope to expand the program to the elementary level once we are able to identify volunteer sponsors and secure the necessary funding to do so. Robotics is a challenging, fun and exciting way for students to learn and develop skills in engineering, design, coding/programming and collaborative problem solving as they work in teams to design and program a robot to complete designated tasks. Our teams will then put their robotic skills on display in competitive events held between our own teams and in competitions with other schools.
Mr. Blize will be providing secondary students with more specific information in the coming weeks. We need parent and community volunteers to help us run a successful program. Anyone interested in volunteering to assist with our robotics program should contact Mr. Blize at a.blize@nccsmo.org,         or Dr.Clark at g.clark@nccsmo.org.

SCRIP Program
Are you using Scrip?  Scrip fundraising is a no-selling program that enables families to raise money to pay down their fundraising fee and to help NCCS. Scrip is just another way to pay for everyday purchases using gift cards in place of cash, checks, and credit cards. You purchase gift cards from us at face value, and we order those cards from a company at a reduced price. The difference is an instant rebate for NCCS and a deduction on your fundraising fee. It’s really that simple!  We carry over 50 different gift cards in our business office. Just by using scrip to pay for your normal weekly purchases, you can easily raise $500 or more per year. Stop by and check it out or feel free to contact Tammy Harman  972-6227  Ext. 102 with any questions.
Boy Scouts
Boy Scout Troup 374, sponsored by NCCS, starts back up on Tuesday August 29th at 7:15 pm. We meet in the A.S.A.P building in the rear of the campus.

We look forward to the return of all our current scouts and welcome any boys age 11-17 years old and their parents to come check out what scouting can offer them. Our Troop is a boy lead troop, meaning the boys play a big part in the leadership, choosing what activities to do and leading events like camp outs and hikes and much more!  For the upcoming year we have several camp outs planed, Sky Zone overnight lock-in and other fun activities, annual service projects like scouting for food, Taste of Ferguson Flag Ceremony and more! Don't worry about the cost, we are one of Missouri’s oldest troop and one of the best equipped- we supply tents and other camping gear, and have many other supplies which can be borrowed.

Mark your calendar: Every Tuesday night, 7:15 @ ASAP Building in the rear of the campus!  For more information contact: Daryl Sutphen 314-518-8956 or dsutphen@msn.com or troop374.org.
