Aero Charter Hosts July 13 Demo Day
For New BendixKing Navigator

Pilots can do a hands-on test of BendixKing's powerful new navigator, the KSN 770, at Aero Charter on July 13.

"You can put in a flight plan and see how easy and versatile flying is with the KSN 770," said Ted Clark, Aero Charter avionics manager.

The KSN 770 is a Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) that provides a blend of touch-screen and hard buttons so pilots can easily control their GPS navigation, weather, traffic, terrain and other flight data. "The KSN 770 is a very smart unit that pilots will find easy to use," Clark said.

The KSN 770 and BendixKing's KT74 meet the avionics enhancement requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration's ADS-B mandate.

The KT74 fits conveniently into the same rack system as BendixKing's KT76A/C models. They are ideal for many models, including the Cessna 100, 200, 300 series; a number of Beechcraft models; the Piper 20, 30, 40 series and the Mooney M20 series.

Aero Charter's Avionics Division, which is certified to install the systems, is offering them as a set for just $15,994 -- installation not included -- through the end of July.

The BendixKing Demo Day will take place in Aero Charter's offices at 501 Turbine Avenue on Monday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Now's the Time To Get Great Deals
On Spring Break 2016 Charter Travel

Now is the time to act if you want to get great deals on travel during spring break 2016. The tour companies that operate non-stop charter flights from St. Louis to destinations such as Mexico, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic recently released their prices and schedules for next spring.

"Believe it or not, now is the time to book that spring break trip for 2016. I have had a couple of requests already, and by the end of the summer most of those flights will be filled," said Denise Trampier, Aero Travel manager. "The early bird does get the proverbial worm."

Aero Travel offers great service and value to customers who want to plan a great spring break trip. Aero Travel charges nothing for its services. "The client gets the benefit of our vast knowledge of travel experiences in different destinations and resorts. I will help them through the trip planning process from start to finish. Sometimes people don’t even know what to ask, and I make sure they have what they need to travel," Trampier said.

"I ask a lot of questions to discern what would be the best possible fit for my clients in terms of a destination or a resort. Booking on-line gives you none of these benefits and should a problem arise you have no agent to assist you," she added.

"These tour companies will simply take orders, and that is not what a good agent does. I’m pro-active in helping my clients choose the best possible package that fits the criteria they’ve given me," she said.

Aero Charter Installs Solar Panels

Aero Charter recently installed solar panels on the rooves of its two hangars, moving the company to a new era of sustainable energy generation.

Together, the two solar panel systems will provide 68,000 kilowatt hours of power per year. That's enough power to eliminate the greenhouse gas emissions that would be caused by burning 50,365 pounds of coal, according to calculations by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

"We are happy to do our part to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and we are also pleased that the system installed by our contractor, Brightergy, will actually save us money," said Ray Van de Riet Jr., Aero Charter's president.

Safety and efficient operations of Aero Charter's fleet remained the company's top goal during the construction, Van de Riet said. "Brightergy did a fantastic job jumping through the numerous hurdles associated with doing such a project at an airport."

Another Happy Client...

"I am very, very happy. What more can I say. The location is excellent and convenient. I was very pleased with the selection of the products. They gave me very good recommendations. I selected Aero Charter's Avionics Department because somebody recommended it to me. I talked with them and realized they were very knowledgeable and would give my plane the time it needed. They gave my plane the attention it deserved."  -- Mark
