Training for Educator Preparation Program Supervisors
Missouri’s educator preparation programs are required to use the Missouri Educator Evaluation System to evaluate their student teachers. The goal is for all program supervisors to participate in training sessions on an annual basis. The Department worked with the Regional Service Centers to develop and deliver the initial series of more than 25 workshops. Program supervisors need to refine their skills in recognizing effective teaching and providing quality feedback to our next generation of teachers.

MEGA & Implementation of the Missouri Performance Assessments
The three objectives of the Missouri Educator Gateway Assessments (MEGA) are recruiting the right people, assessing content and assessing performance during student teaching/internships. The performance assessment for school leaders was implemented in fall 2014. The performance assessments for teachers, school counselors and school librarians will be implemented this fall.
