Counseling Long Term Substitue

Wally Scull will be assisting Carman Trails' students and staff as a long term substitute counselor until April 1st. Wally is coming to us just off a long term substitute counseling assignment at Mason Ridge Elementary School. Prior he served as a Substitute Teacher in the Parkway School District and as a in-home counselor assisting students across St. Louis County schools with a local non-profit. Wally earned a Masters of Education degree in School Counseling with K-12 certification from UMSL. His internships were completed in the Pattonville and Kirkwood School Districts.

This year Wally and his wife Angie will be celebrating 15 years of marriage. Together they share their 12 year old daughter Lydia and a new addition of Harleigh, a 7 year old Chi-Russell Terrier dog. In his free time, Wally enjoys reading, kayaking Missouri rivers, and traveling with his family.

Feel free to call or email Wally if you have any 3rd or 4th grade students that you feel could benefit from counseling services.

Nurse's Notes

To keep Carman Trails a healthy learning environment for our students and staff, it is important to know when your child should stay home due to illness. Please keep these guidelines in mind when deciding whether your child should come to school. Students should stay home if they have had any of the following symptoms:

  • fever of 100 or higher in the past 24 hours
  • undiagnosed rash that is accompanied by fever or itching
  • bad cough or difficulty breathing
  • vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours
  • sore throat, with fever or swollen glands in the neck

Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration for the 2018-19 school year is now open. Parents can start the registration process online here. On January 23, 2018 all Parkway elementary schools will be open for parents to register in person. Learn more about Kindergarten registration here.
Lost and Found
The cold winter months are in full swing and that means that students are bringing and wearing more items, unfortunately this also means that our Lost and Found is growing. If you are missing any items be sure to check the Lost and Found. You can help us to get your items returned faster, if you make sure to label anything that comes to school with your child's name.
Summer School Registration Opens February 15
Based on parent feedback, registration for summer school classes will be held much earlier this year and registration times will be spread out to avoid having too many families online registering at the same time.

  • Registration for summer school opens February 15, 2018

  • Online registration will be staggered by grade level: 9 am for middle and high school; 11 a.m. for elementary

K-8 families will register online. If you do not already have an account, you are encouraged to create an account at This is how you will register online for summer school classes.
