We need help with dismissal!
You may have noticed that we have been experiencing a back up onto Weidman Road at dismissal time. We understand that many of our families prefer picking up their student from school. Having said that, the backup onto Weidman has posed some unsafe traffic situations. Therefore, we are asking our families to consider the following options to help:

1- Please consider delaying your arrival at school by a few minutes. While we dismiss at 4:00, we have a few families that arrive at 4:05 for a traffic-free pick up.

2- Please consider approaching school from Carman Road. The North-bound lane on Weidman offers a turn lane where cars can safely wait for entrance into the school grounds. The South-bound lane does not offer the same option as it is a right turn from that direction.

We appreciate any adjustment to your pick-up schedule that helps alleviate some of the traffic back up onto Weidman and keeping dismissal a safe process for all!

All students will jump rope during their regular PE classes from February 26- March 2.  Donating money to the American Heart Association is optional but always appreciated. All donation envelopes should be returned to Mr. Castellano or Mrs. Rakers by March 9th. Initial prizes will be awarded to students when the envelopes are returned, larger prizes will be distributed later.
Nurse's Notes - Exciting Dental News

I am excited to announce that we have a new oral health program coming to Carman Trails on March 19th-23rd.  Parkway School District is partnering with Comtrea in order to provide oral health services during school.  This will take the place of other previously used school dental programs. Students will have access to screenings, sealants, and fluoride treatment at NO COST due to government funding and grants. In addition, students can receive cleanings, x-rays, and follow-up exams as needed with parent permission.

Please fill out the consent form sent home with your child and return it to the nurse by March 5th. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the nurse at 314-415-6110.
