School Calendar Adjusted Due to Snow Days
February 22, 2019

We have missed eight days of school this winter due to inclement weather and need to make up seven of them at this time. The Missouri formula that governs how we make up missed days calls for making up the first seven days in full, followed by making up one full day for every two additional days missed (See the table below). The most days a district is required to make up is 10 full days.

Our calendar for the current school includes 10 built in days. The seven built in snow days that are now designated as student attendance days are:

Monday, March 11

Monday, April 22

Thursday, May 16

Friday, May 17

Monday, May 20

Tuesday, May 21

Wednesday, May 22

The revised last day of school is Wednesday, May 22. This will be a full day of attendance.

If one more school day is missed, then the last day of school would need to be moved to Thursday, May 23. If two or three more days are missed past the current eight, then Friday, May 24 will be the last day of school. If four or more additional days are missed beyond the current eight, then we would need to come back for one day after Memorial Day.
