THCF offers more than $200,000 in scholarships for college and college-bound students and their new general application helps them match students with scholarships that best fit their qualifications.

"First Impact" Traffic Safety Parent Program to be held at GVHS on January 14

First Impact offers a FREE 90-minute evidence-based traffic safety program that educates parents about Missouri’s Graduated Driver Law.

The goal of First Impact is to reduce new driver crashes, resulting injuries and fatalities, by increasing parental awareness and enforcement of Missouri’s Graduated Driver License law.

Objectives of the program are to increase:

  • Awareness of teen driving risks
  • Understanding of Missouri’s GDL law
  • GDL monitoring and enforcement at home
  • Importance of being a positive role model

The program is delivered by trained GDL Facilitators and Law Enforcement Officers who coach parents by presenting key facts and proven strategies to help parents lower their teens’ crash risk by utilizing the Missouri GDL law.

2019 GV Eagles Baseball "Day of Service" is March 23
The Grain Valley Eagles Baseball Program will participate in the 7th Annual “Day of Service” on Saturday the 23rd of March from 8:30am-1pm. The Grain Valley Baseball Program believes that this “Day of Service” will provide our student-athletes the perfect opportunity to strengthen our community ties and put into action the positive character traits that are learned through participation in extracurricular activities. Work teams will take on work projects for residents and businesses ranging from cleaning, gardening, raking and painting. Free "Hands Only" CPR training
Saint Luke's East Hospital is offering a FREE "Hands Only" CPR training on February 25 at the Grain Valley Community Center.

Grain Valley Eagle Booster Club Parents Host Middle School Valentines Dance
All Grain Valley students in grades 6-8 are invited to join in the fun on a middle school dance on Friday, February 8, from 7:00-9:00 PM at North Middle School. Tickets are $8 at the door and the proceeds support the Grain Valley Eagles Booster Club (GVEBC), for student programs such as Grad Night.

The dress for this dance is semi-formal.

Drop off and pick up procedures will be announced beforehand on the GV Eagles Booster website and on Twitter @GVEBC1.

GVEBC is the host of this dance and the event will be supervised by parents as a fundraiser for GVEBC-sponsored programs. Grain Valley North Middle School and Grain Valley South Middle School students are invited to attend. This dance is not sponsored or supervised by middle school staff or administration, or by the school district. The district is helping to promote the dance to ensure parents have the information from the sponsors. GVEBC has hired an off-duty GVPD school resource officer to help monitor the event.

Jackson County  Health Department offers Vaccination Clinics for Middle School and High School Students

Keeping your child vaccinated is important to your child’s health and each year the Jackson County Health Department provides thousands of vaccines to children from all over Jackson County. The Jackson County Health Department will be providing vaccines for our middle school and high school students on these dates:


3/15/19-Grain Valley High School         

3/22/19-Grain Valley South Middle School

             Grain Valley North Middle School


The vaccines being offered are: (TdapMCV, and HPV). The consent form is available on the Jackson County Health Department's website at: complete the form online by NOON the day before your child’s scheduled vaccine clinic.
