$7.5 Million school bond issue on the April 2, 2019 ballot.

On April 2, voters living within school district boundaries will decide on a school bond issue for $7.5 Million.  Passage would allow Grain Valley Schools to complete an addition of 1 1/2 classroom wings onto Grain Valley North Middle School. The school has seen significant growth in recent years and is projected to have as many students as South Middle School in as few as six years.

Passage of the bond issue does not require raising the district tax levy rate.

An alternative bid associated with this school bond issue is the replacement of the artificial turf at the high school stadium. The current turf has exceeded its anticipated life expectancy and is due for replacement. (Image represents one possible look for the new turf.)
