TJ'S PIZZA FUNDRAISER
All fundraiser forms and money for our TJ's Pizza fundraiser are due back to Lewis and Clark on Monday, Jan. 28. Fundraiser items will need to be picked up at school between 4 - 6 pm, Wednesday, Feb. 20. Please contact the office with any questions.
SKATE NIGHT
We will be having a Great Skate night from 6 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 5. Parents will need to sign their student in on the sign-in sheet. PTC members will be there to supervise, but any help with this is greatly appreciated.
DUBRAY MIDDLE SCHOOL ORIENTATION
dubray huskyThe DuBray Middle School 5th Grade Orientation Night is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 6. We will be offering a shuttle bus from the Mid-Rivers Christian Church starting at 5:30 until 8:30 due to limited parking at DuBray Middle School. A letter was sent home last week. SOUTH MIDDLE SCHOOL PREVIEW NIGHT
sms logoAttention! All fifth grade students who will be attending South Middle School next year, along with their families, are invited to a Preview Night from 6 - 8 p.m., Feb. 7. Attendees will have an opportunity to tour the school and learn about the different classes and activities available to students. The flyer from SMS can be found here!
CARDINALS GAME
Have the winter blues? No worries. Spring is just around the corner and with that comes baseball! Save the date for April 27. Our SPE/LCE choir will be singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the game. We would love to have you come cheer them on. Be on the lookout for more information coming soon to order tickets.
GIRLS ON THE RUN
Girls on the Run signups are happening now! Fliers were sent home on Tuesday. For more information on Girls on the Run, visit the LCE website.  
HEADPHONES NEEDED
Please check with your child to make sure that their headphones are working properly and/or that they have been using them for technology. They will be needed for upcoming assessments, including our state assessment in the spring. Thanks for your help!
PARENT RESOURCES
Mrs. Adler recently shared with all of you some resources for a free dental clinic, as well as a message from Habitat for Humanity. If you missed these fliers, you can find them on our website.
FREE AND REDUCED MEALS
Fort Zumwalt School District parents who are furloughed federal workers can complete the Free & Reduced Meal Application to receive assistance during the shutdown. For questions or more information, Fort Zumwalt families impacted by the shutdown should call 636-272-0016 or complete the application via the link above and return it to their child’s school office.
SCIENCE FAIR PROJECTS
Science fair packets were sent home last week. Participation is on a volunteer basis and the project must be completed at home.  Due to the decrease in participants, Lewis and Clark will no longer be purchasing Science Fair boards. Please check to make sure you have the correct size dimensions so that if you are eligible for the Regional Science Fair, you will not be disqualified. 
Projects need to be registered online first at  http://bit.ly/LCESciFair2019 Registered projects can be dropped off at school on Monday, Feb. 4th between 7:45a.m. and 8:30a.m. or 4:05-4:45 p.m.
