Tickets on sale for Variety Show, “En Route”


The 2020 GBS Variety Show "En Route" opens at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19. There will also be 7:30 p.m. shows on Thursday, Feb. 20, Friday, Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 22. A 2 p.m. matinee performance will be held Saturday, Feb. 22.

Nominations opening for Distinguished Teachers

The GBS Parents Association is accepting nominations for the 2020 Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award starting on Tuesday, Feb. 18. The award is designed to recognize exceptional educators who generously give their time, share their passions, and change lives. This is an opportunity for students to nominate a faculty member who has had a significant impact on them. Nomination forms are available online and should be submitted by Friday, March 20.
Student Art Exhibit
8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18 through Friday, Feb. 21, Lyceum

This cumulative art exhibit will showcase artwork from all first-semester art students. Projects to be on display include ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture and photography.

Glenbrook Musical Auditions 

Auditions for the 2020 Glenbrook Musical, “Cinderella,” will be held from 3:45 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25 at GBN and 3:45 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 at GBS. Callbacks will be held from 3:45 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 and Friday, Feb. 28 at GBN. No experience is necessary. A musical clinic will be held at 3:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24 in the GBN choir room. Students can pick up audition materials in the choral departments of each school, or at www.gbstheatre.com and www.gbntheatre.com. Performances will be held at GBN at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2. There will also be a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, May 2. College Colloquium for junior students, parents

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, February 29, Glenbrook South

Glenbrook South and Glenbrook North will host a combined College Colloquium at GBS for juniors. The College Colloquium provides an opportunity for junior students and their parents to attend several different sessions regarding a variety of topics associated with the college process. These topics have been carefully selected to provide your family with insight, as well as with practical information to assist you in this journey. We have procured nationally and locally known speakers who are excited to share their expertise with you during the program.

Senior project brings unity to class of 2020

“Kindness.” “Justice.” “Freedom.” “Fun.” These are just a few of the abstract nouns the senior class used to capture their core values during a moment of reflection. “A View of the Summit” is an art exhibit collectively created by the senior class, built to convey each person’s individual message about what they have learned to value in their personal lives.

The Glenbrook Foundation's Annual Theatre Fundraiser: "Cinderella"


Prepare for a night of fun, socializing and theatre at the Glenbrook High School Foundation's Annual Fundraiser “A Night of Glenbrook Theatre” on May 2, 2020. Enjoy a full-course dinner at the school with friends, families and D225 administrators. This year's guest speaker will be Judy Moe, former head of the GBN Music Department and choir director. This event is open to everyone. Tickets go on sale at ShowTix4U.com on Feb. 15. The Foundation is currently looking for sponsors and raffle items for the event. District 34 referendum on March 2020 ballot
Glenview School District 34 is asking voters to consider a referendum to improve safety and security, repair and replace aging infrastructure, address ADA compliance needs, improve classrooms and science labs and add instructional space, including space to offer full-day kindergarten.
