Notes from Nurse Rhonda

Handwashing can help prevent illness. Regular handwashing is one of the best ways to remove germs, avoid getting sick, and prevent the spread of germs to others. It’s quick, it’s simple, and it can keep us all from getting sick.

The Library Shelf

Hello, Camden Elementary School families!  This is just a reminder that Late Notices will start going home with any students that have had a book checked out for longer than two weeks.  These notices are to let you know that a book has not been checked in and help build responsibility among our students. If you are concerned, and think that the book might have been turned in and overlooked, please send a note with your child.  The library will help them look and see if the book can be located within the library and also provide coaching on the correct procedure to turn in a library book.

Please help students remember to keep their school library books away from younger siblings or pets.  We have had a large increase in reports of damaged books, with either scribblings or dog chews. We discuss these items in class, but we would greatly appreciate your assistance at home!

Please don’t forget that Reading for the Gamecocks will start this coming weekend; students track that they read every night for two weeks and will receive an adult and child ticket to the USC Men’s & Women’s Basketball Games and also free EdVenture admission.  Please see the parent letter being sent home this week!

Active Gamecocks

Great job to all the students who logged their physical activity for the Active Gamecocks!   I will receive the vouchers for the USC Basketball games sometime around the end of November or early December.  Once I receive the vouchers, I will give them and the fitness feet to the participants during their PE class. If you have questions please contact Mrs. Knapko (brittany.knapko@kcsdschools.net).
