December 2019
Dear Parents/Guardians:

What a great time of the year! It is exciting to see the joy in the faces of our middle school students during the winter and holiday season. Due to the busy nature of the month, sometimes schedules and added responsibilities can cause stress for our young people and us adults as well. Concerts, parties, athletics, family visits and so many other events seem to be packed into this limited amount of time. Prioritizing and organization is a struggle that many of our students experience during this month with regards to their school work. Our upcoming band and choir concerts offer the opportunity to slow down and enjoy a little holiday cheer. The choir concert on December 11th and the 6th grade band concert on December 16th , will both be held in the REAMS Cafeteria. Please come; everyone is welcome! As the holiday season approaches, please give your child the gift of extra time.

During this season of being thankful and grateful we would like to say thank you to the parents and guardians who are diligently keeping up with their child's progress by checking their Tyler and Google Classrooms, Our volunteers who give countless hours to make Aylor a better place for students and staff, and to our teachers and staff who go above and beyond on a daily basis. Our goal in Frederick County is to be a change agent in the lives of all of our students. Our relationship with you and our students is a vital part in this child development process.

We always welcome and appreciate your support in all endeavors we take on. Hopefully years from now, during the holiday season, you and your child will remember many wonderful times spent together here in the community and at R.E. Aylor. Our WISH list has already been granted as construction to the replacement Aylor is underway. On behalf of the staff here at R. E. Aylor Middle School we want to wish you a joyous holiday season and a prosperous New Year!

Mr. David L. Rudy II
School Principal
