Raffle Baskets will be on display in the main office from January 21 - January 31. Raffle tickets are:
$1 for 1 ticket
$5 for 7 tickets
$10 for 15 tickets

Staff and Students will be wearing the following colors for Cancer Awareness each day:
Monday, January 27 - Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
Tuesday, January 28 - Purple for Cancer Survivor Awareness
Wednesday, January 29 - White or Heart of Millbrook shirts for Lung Cancer Awareness and in Honor of Chester Luttrell
Thursday, January 30 - Black for Melanoma (Skin Cancer) Awareness
Friday, January 31 - Love Loud shirts, MHS Fights Cancer shirts or Light Blue for Prostate Cancer Awareness

Tickets will be sold in advance during lunches or at the door. Please come out and see all the hidden talent at Millbrook High School. Along with awards for best act, we will have a Fan Favorite Award. Come be part of the fun!

If your child is interested in participating, they should pick up an audition form in the main office or in the choir room. Audtions are on January 22, 2020 and $5 per person. All proceeds will be split with Choir Boosters and the Class of 2020.

Course Registration for 2020-2021
School counselors are conducting course registration for the 2020-2021 school year throughout the month of January. The counselors are meeting with students through their English classes. Counselors are conducting a slide presentation that contains information regarding high school graduation requirements and course offerings. Students are selecting their course requests through the Tyler 360 portal.

Course request verification forms will be mailed to parents/guardians in February. The forms will list the courses that students selected during registration. Please review the course requests with your students and make any necessary changes on the forms. Forms should be signed by the parents/guardians and returned to the School Counseling Office in March.

Scholarship Opportunities for Seniors
Many scholarship opportunities are available for Seniors to pursue. Scholarships are posted on the Millbrook High School website under the School Counseling link. Scholarship information is also located inside the School Counseling Office.

Seniors planning to attend LFCC next year can now apply for the LFCC scholarships. Seniors must first apply to LFCC before they can apply for their scholarships. Students can see Mrs. Seaver, Career Coach, in the School Counseling Office to receive assistance with the LFCC admissions application or scholarship application. 

All scholarships, including the Local Scholarship Form are located on our Millbrook Website- School Counseling Page-Resources. The Local Scholarship Form is an application for scholarships awarded at the local high schools. To be eligible for a local scholarship you must complete the Google form before the deadline March 20, 2020. Please click on the link Scholarship Opportunities at Millbrook High School.


Cap and Gown orders should have been placed.  If your senior still has not ordered their cap and gown, please click on this link Herff Jones Cap and Gown Order.  They will be delivered in May.

1)  All parents are reminded to send in their $25 if they haven't already. Checks can be made out to Big Blue Senior Parent Committee. You can send it to Millbrook High School at 251 First Woods Drive, Winchester, VA 22603.

3) All senior parents are welcome to attend the Senior Parent Committee meetings the 2nd Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the library. Our goal is to raise money and organize the Senior Tribute Party in May. We hope to see some new faces.

please make plans to attend.

The Winter Sports MPAA Awards ceremony will be held in the auditorium at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15.

The pass must be in the possession of the pass holder to enter the game. Once the pass has been obtained by the purchaser/pass holder, the pass becomes the responsibility of the pass holder. Lost/misplaced passes are not the responsibility of the school and will not be replaced by the school.

The Frederick County Public Schools’ Rapid Communication System includes an SMS text message function. In order to receive text messages sent through the FCPS Rapid Communication System, parents must have the phone number of the device on which they want to receive text alerts included on their child’s student record. In addition, they must opt-in to receiving the text messages if they have not done so previously. To opt-in, text “Y” or “Yes” to 67587 from the device on which you want to receive text messages. Once the opt-in process has been completed, you will receive a confirmation text message.

Millbrook High School was constructed on a property with wetlands.
One of the lifelong requirements enacted for using this building site is educating
the public about water quality and best management practices to preserve
environmental quality. Four times a year in our newsletter,
we will be providing a helpful water quality tip.

Community involvement is very important in helping to improve water quality in our area. Check out this link to see a list of local groups that you can join!
