Principal's Message
Thank you to our amazing Greenwood Mill students, families and staff. We have been embarking on a journey like never before. I am amazed at what we have put together to support our students. We are truly LIVING Inspire 2025 by problem solving, being creative, collaborating in ways we have never done before, and by communicating in ways we have not in the past. We are learning how to learn and we are being flexible, all while keeping the relationships with our students going, although it may be in new ways. I am proud to be working with each of you as we embark on this unexpected journey. Please don't hesitate to reach out if we can be of assistance in any way.

Hello Families,

We hope this message finds you well!  As we navigate this new normal, please know that we will be here to guide you every step of the way. Now, more than ever, your child's learning is going to be a labor of love and teamwork; we CAN do this. Our hearts are heavy over the fact that this is the way our year together has to end. We had so much more learning to do, growth to achieve, fun days planned, and so so much more love to give.  The Kindergarten team has collaborated to put together some activities in a format that is similar to our weekly homework sheet. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please reach out to your teacher.  We will be most available during office hours, 9:00 AM -11:00 AM, and can be reached through email or Seesaw. This is new territory for all of us. Please be patient with us, your children, and yourselves. Together as one Gator Family, community, and nation, we will get through this!  We miss you and can't wait to see you again.

First Grade

We hope everyone is staying safe and well.  We miss you all very much!  We have been busy preparing activities for you to do at home and look forward to seeing many of you online.  If you are doing packets at home, be sure to work on a few pages each day and continue to practice your reading and writing!  We don’t expect anyone to do school work all day long, though! Take breaks! Play outside! Have fun family time, too!

Thank you, parents, for your continued support at home during this unique time in our world.  Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.  You are greatly missed!

School Counselors

From the Counselors…

We are thinking about you and we miss seeing you at Greenwood Mill. This is a new way for all of us to be “doing school” but we can do it!

Our character word of the month program will continue. An email from Core Essentials, our character program sponsored by Chick Fil A, is being shared with teachers, and they will send it your way. It includes the monthly coloring sheet that the students really enjoy, and lots of links of information for the whole family. Our word of the month for April is humility.

Please contact either Jenny Carson (carsonj@fcpsk12.net) or you may leave a voicemail for Sherry Hall at 540-667-7863, extension 78186 or email her at halls@fcpsk12.net.  We are monitoring our communication sources daily and are here for all of you.

Take care of each other and enjoy Spring!
