The Google Classroom page is also where your students can sign up to meet with their counselor and with the Career Coach. The code to join the Google Classroom is: 44c3zx.

Remind
Please sign up to join the MHS Guidance Class on Remind. We encourage all MHS students and their parents/guardians to sign up. The Guidance Department will be announcing important information, deadlines, and events through Remind. To sign up, text @pioneernow to the number 81010.

Advanced Placement Testing
All students taking Advanced Placement (AP) exams this year will take the exams at Lord Fairfax Community College. Students who register to take an AP exam will be provided with the specific location to which they should report at LFCC prior to the exam being administered. Administering AP exams at a central location instead of each individual high school allows more students at each school to take the exams. Students taking AP exams will have to provide their own transportation to LFCC and will not be counted as absent at their home school on the day(s) they take their AP exam(s). Registration for AP exams will be held in the guidance department between February 25 and March 12. AP exams will be administered during the two-week exam window of May 6-10 and May 13-17. For more information, contact the guidance department or visit www.collegeboard.org.

SOL Writing Test
The Virginia Department of Education has established statewide testing dates for the Spring SOL Writing test. The Writing SOL will be administered to the majority of 11th grade students March 5 -8. The test has both multiple choice and direct-writing components. Students must pass this test to satisfy graduation requirements. Students are expected to bring their fully charged Chromebook and adapter to each testing session. Please make sure your child is in attendance and on time during this testing window.

SPEAK UP, STAY SAFE
Speak Up, Stay Safe
Everyone can play a part in keeping our schools safe and secure. If you see suspicious activity, be prepared to give a detailed report to school staff and the authorities. Pay special attention to things like: What, specifically, you observed; who you saw; when and where you saw it; and why it seemed suspicious. These details will help school staff and the authorities as they work to keep our schools and students safe. Please report any suspicious activity noted in the vicinity of schools to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office at 540-662-6168.

WETLANDS AT MILLBROOK HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS

Did you know?
You can protect water quality by shoveling snow from your driveways and walkways. This cuts down on the need for salt. Salt will eventually run off and find its way into our local streams and rivers.
Most salt is not effective when it is below 15 degrees.
