MHS is excited to partner with Bright Futures - Frederick/Winchester to start a  weekend food packs program.  The purpose of this program is to help families that experience food insecurity on the weekend – during the times when schools are unable to provide breakfasts or lunches – it is the hope that these packs will provide families an opportunity to supplement.  During the 2019-2020 school year the program will be sending home packs every Friday (max 25 packs).   If we receive over 25 requests, students will be placed on a waiting list until further resources are developed.   These non-perishable food items will come home in a non-returnable plastic bag that will be placed in your child’s backpack on Fridays.  Please note that not all packs will be exactly the same – items will vary based on collections/donations.

For us to determine continued support and need for the pack program we are asking all MHS families to review the forms below and if appropriate complete and return to the school by Dec 15, 2019.

In an attempt to minimize phone calls to the school we ask that you direct any questions you may have to Bright Futures - /540-667-2490.

Forms will be sent home next week or you can click on the link below:

Millbrook High School was constructed on a property with wetlands.
One of the lifelong requirements enacted for using this building site is educating
the public about water quality and best management practices to preserve
environmental quality. Four times a year in our newsletter,
we will be providing a helpful water quality tip.

Did you know that November 15 is America Recycles Day? Find out more about the value of recycling at  Recycling can help maintain our water quality by keeping plastic debris and other materials out of our wetlands.
