Homecoming week is October 7 - 12  

  • Homecoming game is Friday, October 11 at 7 p.m.
  • Homecoming dance is Saturday, October 12  from 7 p.m. ~ 10 p.m.
  • A photo ID will be required for all students (and their guest) to enter the dance.
  • No one will be admitted after 8:30 p.m. Once you leave, you will not be able to return.

Guest Forms
  1. Guest forms will be available in the main office for seniors only on Tuesday, September 24.
  2. Guest forms will be available in the main office for all students starting Wednesday, September 25.
  3. Students must return completed forms to the main office by Wednesday, October 2.
  4. Only the first 50 completed, approved and returned guest forms will be able to buy guest tickets.
  5. Students will be notified as to whether or not they are in the first 50 when they turn their form into the main office.
Ticket Sales
  1. Tickets will be sold during lunches to SENIORS ONLY on Friday,October 4. If a senior is buying guest ticket (approved and one of the first 50 forms returned), they must buy it at the same time as their ticket.
  2. Tickets will be sold during lunches to all students from Monday, October 7th through Thursday, October 10th. (approved guest tickets through Wednesday, October 9).  If you are one of the 50 people approved to purchase a guest ticket, you must buy it at the same time you purchase your ticket.

There will be a sophomore class meeting for ring orders on Monday, September 9 at 8 a.m. where students will receive order forms.  Herff Jones will be here September 16 and 17 during all lunch periods for students to order class rings.  Parent are welcome to come to our Family Night Ring Orders on September 16 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the commons.

PSAT Registration
Registration for PSAT will be September 3 through September 13.  Students are to register through the Counseling Department Classroom (join code ber1utb). Once in the Counseling Department Classroom, select the link for the Counseling Department Site where all information needed will be located under Testing. The first 100 registered students will be eligible to test due to seat restrictions. All other students will be placed on a waitlist.

Schedule Change Deadline: Friday, September 6, 2019. The last day that schedule changes will be made for students who want to change from one course to a different course is Friday, September 6, 2019. Students are able to make level changes through the end of the 1st Quarter.

The School Counseling Department will host a Senior Student and Parent Meeting on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. The following topics will be covered: college admissions requirements, college application process, transcript request procedures, financial aid information, and scholarship information.

Dual Enrollment Registration will be held on Wednesday, September 4 and Thursday, September 5 in the MHS Library. Students should submit their Purple (Fall Semester) and Yellow (Spring Semester) registration forms on one of those two days. If payment is made by cash or check, it should be attached to the registration forms. If payment is made online through MySchoolBucks, payment will be made after the registration forms are submitted. Online payments are due by September 9.

Parent / Teen Driving Night

There will be an informative meeting for all parents of students who are becoming new drivers. The meeting will be on Wednesday, October 16 @ 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.

Topics include: Licensure information, Behind the wheel, Insurance, Law enforcement and other useful information for new teen drivers.

The pass must be in the possession of the pass holder to enter the game. Once the pass has been obtained by the purchaser/pass holder, the pass becomes the responsibility of the pass holder. Lost/misplaced passes are not the responsibility of the school and will not be replaced by the school.

Millbrook High School was constructed on a property with wetlands.
One of the lifelong requirements enacted for using this building site is educating the public about water quality and best management practices to preserve environmental quality. Four times a year in our newsletter, we will be providing a helpful water quality tip.

Why we need wetlands...
Wetlands are a natural sponge and help to soak up excess runoff from our local watersheds. Please see the following link for more information.

Frederick County Public Schools is accepting applications through Friday, September 13 for its community engagement program called FCPS 101. The program provides parents and others with an opportunity to learn about Frederick County Public Schools and its operations, including instructional and administrative services. Applications for FCPS 101 are available at or at any school office. FCPS 101 is sponsored by First Bank and Virginia Property Group.
The Frederick County Public Schools’ Rapid Communication System includes an SMS text message function. In order to receive text messages sent through the FCPS Rapid Communication System, parents must have the phone number of the device on which they want to receive text alerts included on their child’s student record. In addition, they must opt-in to receiving the text messages if they have not done so previously. To opt-in, text “Y” or “Yes” to 67587 from the device on which you want to receive text messages. Once the opt-in process has been completed, you will receive a confirmation text message.
