 National School Lunch Week
is filler text for this message.

We will be celebrating National School Lunch Week October 14th - 25th.  We encourage parents to come and have lunch with their student on their designated date and time sent home with students.  An a adult lunch costs $3.55.  We ask that parents bring cash.  We can not take money off of student accounts,  and do not accept Credit Cards.

Being brave enough to do what you should, even when you're afraid.  Identify things with your family that make you feel afraid.  Write them down.  Next, seek opportunities this month to work on being brave.  It takes courage to handle difficult or hard situations, and we all need practice to do the right thing even when we're afraid.
JMG Garden Club
We are very fortunate to have the help from our Master Gardener Volunteers and to learn from their gardening expertise.  Thank you to our parent volunteers.  Fall Garden Club dates, October 1, October 8, October 15, and October 22.
We will be selling our new "HOUSE" car magnets with the new school logo on it.  Each magnet is $5.00 and can be purchased through myschoolbuck.com or in the library, cash or checks made out to Greenwood Mill Elementary.  Sales begin October 1st.

Attention Parents, Please drop students off at 8:00 AM in the car rider drop off area.  Please do not drop off at any other location.  Students will then walk in the cafeteria to sign in for their session.  Thank you help with this!
If your student packs lunch and needs a milk or an ala carte item, they need to have the cash with them or money on their lunch account.  These items can not be charged.

Race For Education day is Tuesday October 8th. Please check your child's race time and make sure they wear appropriate clothes for this event.

Greenwood Mill talking Common Sense approach to digital citizenship

Students are learning how to be safe, responsible, and respectful online with lessons from Common Sense Education.  We are learning that a good citizen understands the rights and responsibilities that come with being online and is someone who uses technology in a positive way.  A good digital citizen also fins a balance in the time spent on electronic devices and other activities.
