Midlothian ISD’s Board of Trustees unanimously approved Todd York as the new athletic director. Currently, York serves as the director of athletics in Georgetown ISD.
“We are excited to have Mr. York join the MISD family as our new athletic director,” Dr. Lane Ledbetter, superintendent of schools said. “We are confident he will continue to improve our athletic program and ensure each of our student-athletes has the best possible environment to grow and succeed in and out of the classroom.”
“Midlothian ISD has an impeccable reputation across Texas. Everyone I have met has shared many wonderful stories about MISD, and the comment that resonates with me the most is how MISD is a tight-knit family,” York said. “I’m looking forward to joining MISD and calling it home.”
York earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physical education and has a master’s in education administration from Tarleton State University. He has served as an athletic director for 25 years, as well as a head football coach for 20 years. His previous districts include Kaufman, Terrell, Corrigan-Camden, and most recently Georgetown ISD.
